MEND capital works and restoration
Our exciting MEND capital works and restoration programme in our East Wing took place during 2024 - 2025.
Contractors Clive Graham Associates started work on site on 20 May 2024. With colleagues in Haringey Council we have worked closely with heritage architects Rodney Melville + Partners in planning the works for our wonderful Grade 1 listed building.
The building works have addressed and stabilised structural issues, making fire protection upgrades, repairing historic fabric, and improving accessibility, as well as transforming an 18th century room into a new public space for exhibitions and community use, enhancing public access to the museum’s unique and fascinating collections.
This Haringey Council funded project had been boosted with extra funding, thanks to £588,000 secured from the Museum Estate and Development (MEND) fund, provided by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sports and delivered by Arts Council England.
