Arrive 12 noon for a 12.15 start.
In an ordinary street, close to Bruce Grove Station, hidden beneath a row of late 19th century housing, lies an ancient relic of Tottenham’s past.
You may have walked past without a second glance, scarcely noticing the road name, or perhaps even wondered who is St Loy? Here is meant to be a holy well, given a French saint’s name.
Where is the well now? And what on earth do horses have to do with it?
Bring your lunch, sit back and let life-long Tottenham resident and local historian Val Crosby answer these intriguing questions and many more.
