Find out when you can visit the museum and archive.

Please note - due to our exciting East Wing Restoration Project, the Museum and Archive is closed to all visitors between: Monday 25 November 2024 - early January 2025. Staff will be working remotely from 25 November to 6 January and are contactable via phone and email during this period. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Museum opening hours 

  • Wednesday to Sunday, 1pm to 5pm  

Visiting groups including schools may book to visit at other times. For more information, please contact us at museum.services@haringey.gov.uk

The Museum and Archive is always closed on 25 and 26 December, 1 January, Good Friday and the summer bank holidays. At holiday times, please check these pages for any additional closures. 

Admission to the Museum and Archive is free.

Winter Closure

Some essential works in Bruce Castle’s MEND works programme will need complete closure of the building.

  • The Museum and Archive will be closed to all visitors between: Monday 25 November 2024 - early January 2025

Archive Search Room opening hours 

  • Wednesday to Friday 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm  
  • Every second Saturday of the month, 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm

Access and visiting the park 

We have a range of services for our visitors with access needs. Find out more about accessing our services here.

The Museum and Park is located in Bruce Castle Park, with 20 acres of beautiful parkland to relax in and take a stroll. The park is open all year round and gates are not locked. The Pavilion café can be found in the south-east corner of the park.
